RIOT RECORDS

THE BRIEF

Riot Records approached us to shape a visual identity that felt authentic to the electronic dance music and drum and bass scene.

The brand needed to sit naturally alongside established labels within the culture. Credible, familiar, and built with an understanding of the space, while still maintaining a clear visual point of difference. The focus was on creating a system that felt scene-first, not trend-led, and could evolve with the label’s output.

We were also tasked with developing cover artwork and promotional materials for each release, ensuring every piece of communication stayed true to the wider identity while giving artists space to express themselves within a consistent visual framework.

THE OUTCOME

The project gave Riot Records a visual language that feels rooted in drum and bass culture. Familiar enough to belong, but distinct enough to stand out.

The system brought consistency across releases without forcing artists into a rigid template. Each record has its own space to breathe, while still feeling part of a wider label identity that carries weight across platforms and promotion.

The result is a brand that looks and feels built from within the scene, not applied from the outside, giving Riot Records a solid foundation to grow without losing its edge.
